Pennsylvania’s Older Adults Need Your Help!

Our older neighbors are a big part of our communities. One out of every four people in Pennsylvania is an older adult of age 60 or more. Many older adults help pay taxes and create jobs. Some of us need additional assistance as we age. Please help us advocate to support these individuals.

It's time to start our advocacy for next fiscal year, which starts July 1, 2025. In the coming weeks and months this page will be updated with new information and actions you can take to advocate for additional funding to support older Pennsylvanians served by Area Agencies on Aging.

What can you do now?

Here's what you can do any time:

  • Write a letter: Tell your lawmaker and the Governor why it is important to help fund services for older adults
  • Call your lawmaker: Talk to them directly about the issue
  • Meet with your lawmaker: Explain your concerns in person
  • Write to your local newspaper: Share your opinion with others in your community
  • Attend public government meetings: Share your concerns with your local officials
